"add to cart"

http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/15323537/c/91286.html
Why are all the cute things so expensive? Someone out there is trying to make all the rich people super cute. What a ripoff!

I love these shoes and they even come in 11. Did you know that I wore a size 10 womens shoe from age 10 until I had Mickey? Then my feet were an 11 to stay. Darn! A whole adult life's worth of cool shoes, all too small, and now out of the regular size range. More and more companies have size 11 and 12, but it is either Payless or super expensive high quality places. Sigh. I do not even know how I happened upon shoe websites today, ridiculous but fun. Todays version of window shopping, minus the hot pretzel and parking lot stress? Sometimes I will quite seriously "Add to cart" 3 or 4 hundred dollars worth of stuff online, just to erase it and breathe away the shopping urge. Very harmless, and possibly normal, if I cared.

you know what else I do which is ridiculous? I get all involved in following an Ebay auction for some crazy thing that I would never really be able to buy. Vintage telephones, Mod lounge chairs, paintings, double and triple jogging strollers from Europe, fancy little baby shoes, TShirts from threadless, rainbow wigs, Japanese shoes,Vans and campers and RV's ....don't even get me started on Amazon.com..heehee good thing I am poor huh?

Any other fantasy online shoppers out there? Guilty materialistic shameful pleasure or sensible alternative to actual buying? It is usually fun and then I will sort of blink and think what in the heck am I doing??? and log off.

I do the same thing with catalogs. I plan elaborate purchases, and then feel like my shopping urge has been sated. Cheap, effective, and fun. Hey, what's wrong with that?

Though I did get the cutest skirt off eBay recently that was super cheap. I can't wait to show it to you.

Oh, but how can you resist the "removable multi-density metatomical footbed"???

HAHHA
I knew you two would understand :)

(I adore Ebay but spend more time just doing strange fantasy searches than any actual shopping in the past few years)

Catalogs? I PONDER over the "Sage" versus the "Navy" and if I need "tall" or not-- hahaha I never order though! Fun. I'll even go so far as to circle stuff and fold the pages. Why do they keep sending this crap to me? To keep me from reading the National Geographic in the bathroom and actually learning something, I suppose ;)

Count me in on this one!

Oh, the lists of all the things I've "planned" to buy in all those beautiful glossy catalogs. {sigh}

Too bad everything is so expensive!! Or maybe it's a lucky thing - imagine how much STUFF I'd have if I actually bought all that!?

I have something like 50 items in my Amazon shopping cart. Usually when I think about buying something, I put it in my cart and then come back later to think about it some more.

When I look back on things I put in my cart six months or a year or two years ago, I can't even imagine why I originally wanted it.

SALES are what trip me up though. If I see something that interests on sale I think to myself that I will regret later if I don't buy it now. But of course, if I don't buy it, I rarely experience actual regret. I'm like a rat pushing the lever down to get the food pellet, though.

Me! Me! I love "window shopping"! I have multiple "wish lists" and circled magazines all over the internet and my living room...but my actual purchases, when necessary, are usually limited to thrift and consignment stores.

Aaah! I lost my long comment!

Short version:

11W or extra wide.

Online, shoe pictures always seem to be of size 6 shoes, and they fail to convince me that the shoes will actually fit my feet.

Oh well, I am hard on shoes and like to tromp around in less feminine styles anyway.

Hi Joy. This is your cousin Katy, Carol's daughter. Totally random. Anyhow, my mom mentioned your blog and I checked it out and saw that you mentioned something about threadless shirts. My boyfriend happens to be their resident artist, so if there's ever a shirt you'd like to have, let me know and we'll send it to you! Hope you're doing well!
